The Work of the Trust

Why leave a Legacy?

The purpose of this page is to explain how you can give to the Lord’s work through your Legacy.

Over many years the Lord’s Work Trust has been able to assist many avenues of the Lord’s work, both at home and abroad, through funds bequeathed to it in the form of legacies. The Trustees are grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness, for the confidence placed in the Trust by the Lord’s people and for the generous help received through legacies. Such help has been invaluable in meeting a variety of substantial needs as they arise, for example in printing Bibles, translation work, sending literature overseas and building assembly buildings in underprivileged areas of the world.

It is also worthy of note that bequests to a charity such as the Lord’s Work Trust are exempt from Inheritance Tax.

What action do I take? After prayerful consideration, if you wish to make a bequest to Lord’s Work Trust the Trustees would appreciate being advised of your decision. Also, in order to leave a legacy to Lord’s Work Trust you should speak to a solicitor who will be pleased to draw up a will, or make an amendment to an existing will for that purpose.

Matthew 25:40, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
